Associates in Biblical Studies

The Associates in Biblical Studies is a preparatory program geared towards developmental principles of scriptural study and ministerial application. This program exposes the student to various types of biblical perspectives, ranging from surveys to biblical book studies on a verse by verse basis. The program also exposes the student to the fundamentals of Ministry.
Upon successful completion, the student will obtain the following:

  • General knowledge of the Holy Bible
  • Foundational skills in biblical interpretation (Hermenutics)
  • Fundamental skills (research, development and writing)
  • Solid theological knowledge in the major tenants of Systematic Theology
  • Practical experience in sermon preparation and delivery (Homiletics)
Upon successful completion the student earns a cumulative total of 60 credits and is then awarded his/her Associates in Biblical Studies. Ministerial Licensing is available upon successful completion of this program.

The completion of the Associates in Biblical Studies Program requires the student to read textbooks and provide written summations of each section/chapter of the book, as well as the submission of a 5 to 10 page final summation covering the the main points, highlights and applications presented in the text. Additionally, the student will be required to present their own views/oppinions concerning the contents of the textbook and practical applications in his/her own ministry.
